Servant-Leadership Training Leader
Position Description

Start Date: June 8th 2008
End Date: July 26th 2008
Off Week: June 29th - July 5th 2008

Responsibilities

  • Run Servant Leadership Training program for high school campers with support and oversight of Program Director
  • Plan program including weekly schedules, Bible studies, team building activities, skills classes, service opportunities, and weekend activities using a combination of pre-existing curriculum and own ideas
  • Oversee all SLT campers with help of Worship Coordinator including discipline and mentoring
  • Oversee and run planned activities for SLTs
  • Write letters of recommendation and fill out reference forms for each SLT
  • Help clean lodges and buildings along with other staff at the end of each camp week
  • Be friendly, patient, polite and courteous with campers, staff and guests
  • Maintain daily prayer and quiet times for personal spiritual growth
  • Attend all staff meetings, Bible studies and prayer times
  • Act responsible and mature at all times

Accountability

  • Be accountable to the Traditional Camp Program Director and Executive Director

Qualifications

  • Be a person who has personally accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and shows evidence of Christian growth and maturity
  • Desire to share your faith with others and seek opportunities to do so
  • Willing to work hard and serve God through serving people
  • Be able to show Jesus Christ through your attitude, actions, and reactions
  • Have the ability to work well with others and be a positive role model
  • Have leadership experience
  • Previous camp counseling experience preferred
  • Experience working with High School aged students preferred
  • Have good communication and organization skills
  • Be at least 19 years of age, 2 years of college preferred
  • First Aid and CPR required; training provided
